Examination of Differential Item Functioning in PISA 2018 Mathematics Literacy Test with Different Methods

This study aims to determine whether the items in PISA 2018 Mathematical Literacy test show differential item functioning (DIF) according gender and parental education level. The sample of consisted a total 521 students who participated practice Turkey answered booklets numbered 1 7. research was conducted on 45 these booklets. Before proceeding DIF analysis, data were examined terms missing values outliers. In this which Mantel-Haenszel (MH), Logistic Regression (LR) Rasch Tree (RT) methods applied, difR, ltm Psychotree packages R program used showing regarding variable. As result analyses, it determined that two 1st booklet showed favour girls, an 7th common with analyses performed separately Mantel Haenszel, methods. result, girls both MH LR addition, when 7 see they level, concluded easy for whose mother's level high school, university above, but difficult school or below.
